Stress and eating

The stress system works in tight collaboration with your brain and stomach. Well, stress begins in your brain, and then the brain gives signals to collect strength and fight the problem. As a result, you burn many calories, and your organism requires more energy to support itself.

Everything is easy. But, there is difference between regular stress eating and occasional stress eating. The last one is the easiest case, as a person eats to restore energy. The first case is much harder, that is why it requires more attention.

When a person eats to replace the feeling of fear, anxiety or worrying, it results into gaining weight. When you restrain your feeling of anxiety regularly, your brain used to feel relaxed usually and loses this natural opportunity to be alarmed in the cases of emergency. This artificial feeling of peace makes you stay lazy and relaxed even if the things are not so fine. Sometimes, people do not even understand that they do not stand their ground firmly. They just go with the stream and feel ignorant about their personal life, carrier and appearance. Depression and lack of self-confidence are the usual outcomes. So, what's the treatment like? First of all, try to wake up at last. Look around you. There are many people who need you and can support you. If you find the only supporter, it is a good start as well. Make the plan of your future achievements. You are to be sure that you can do everything to achieve this goal. Sport, yoga, sex, parties, meditations, hot baths – each of them stimulates the same pleasure area in the brain that make you seek for comfort in eating.
